..Sawyer's 1st birthday..

(The balloon was bigger then her!)

We are so thankful and praise the Lord for Sawyer's first birthday. She has brought so much joy to our lives. Her free, fun loving personality is infectious. Our very dear friend Gaby come over to help us celebrate. Gaby brought Sawyer a balloon, which she loved, and a little birthday cake.

Sawyer was all ready to go to bed as you can tell from the picture

She woke up once she saw the candle and or course tried to touch the flame

Dancing Baby

I know that I am known for my great dance moves and it seems that Sawyer got her rhythm from me. Anytime that she hears music these days her hips just take over!

Washington Vacations

As a family we take a yearly summer vacation to visit friends in Washington. This year things are a little different. We usually visit JD and Angela Dietzen in Spokane while our other friends Nick and Anna Dietzen come over from Seattle. All three of us got married in the same year, 2007 and started this vacation tradition the summer of 2008. The first year we spent a week in a beautiful lake house. It was filled with lots of laughs, wakeboarding and crazy runs up very steep hills. Last year it was a little more low key because we had Sawyer with us and she was only 8 weeks old. JD and Angela welcomed little Mason last November and Nick and Anna are expecting their little man Parker the middle of July. Needless to say vacations have become a little more family friendly. Brad, Sawyer and I are flying up to Seattle in the being of August to meet little Parker. Here are some pictures from our visit last week.

Memorial Day Bonnet

Ever since Sawyer was 8 weeks old she has been a fish. Any chance that she gets to play in or with water, she takes. It is so fun to put on a little Ruffle Butt bikini (http://www.rufflebutts.com/) on Sawyer and watch her enjoy the water. On Memorial Day we spent time at my mom's house with my family. If you know my mom, you know that she keeps everything! Seriously, everything! She isn't a hoarder, but she keeps things with great sentamently value. Example being this...

This is a picture of Sawyer in her oh so cute bikini, but on her head is a bonnet from when I was a baby. Yes 26 years ago! We didn't have a hat for Sawyer at the house, so my mom dug through a box like Mary Poppins and whipped out this bonnet. It was too small for Sawyer's normal sized head but we worked it on anyhow. It served it purpose and was funny at the same time. Thanks mom!
